I began studying graphic design in Orlando, Florida at a young age. After completing various production courses and an independent portfolio class, I was offered a scholarship to attend the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising and Graphic Design with a minor in Illustration.
I've been designing and developing websites professionally over ten years now. Designing websites wasn't enough of a challenge for me so I began to study different methods of building websites and moved on to server side languages and dynamic content. Today I specialize in building Content Management Systems (CMS) ranging from simple web page updates to robust versions that create new pages and directories on the fly.
I've worked for various agencies in the Central Ohio area primarily as an Interactive Art Director. I also develop simple applications, interactive kiosks and dynamic presentations using Flash.

As the father of an autistic child, autism awareness is something I'm very passionate about. My oldest son was diagnosed at the age of three and we had long suspected before he was formally diagnosed.
Autism is a developmental disorder that affects 1 out of 150 individuals today. Compared to 4 to 5 out of 10,000 in the early 80's those numbers are staggering. Autism is a spectrum disorder meaning there are different levels of autism ranging from non-verbal to high functioning. My son quit speaking at the age of two and half years. He went from simple phrases to gibberish and finally silence. I put in endless hours of research for therapy and eventually found a diet (thanks to an online support group for parents with autistic children) which turned my son around. My youngest was weeks away from being diagnosed as well and I believe this diet saved him from the same path his brother was on. Within a week my youngest started talking again (after eight months of silence) and my oldest started speaking thoughts that were not scripted from a TV show. He went from using a PECS book (special picture book to help children communicate) to being discharged from speech therapy in about 10 months. I will forever be indebted to the woman that introduced this diet to me.

Rock & Walk 2009 was a benefit concert featuring the Von Bondies and local bands Karate Coyote and The Dirty Flaggs in support of Autism Speaks. I would like to make this an annual event. If you are interested in sponsoring or organizing future Rock & Walk events please contact me.
Today, 1 in 100 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
